Using the best science to understand forest values and protections

The Victorian Environmental Assessment Council (VEAC) scientifically assesses environmental, biodiversity and other values and threats in the Immediate Protection Areas and State forests of Eastern Victoria.

Visit the VEAC website for information on their latest projects.

VEAC has provided assessments to 2 advisory panels that were established to consult with Victorians and make recommendations to Government on the future use and management of our State forests: the Great Outdoors Taskforce and the Eminent Panel for Community Engagement. The government has recently provided a response to these recommendation reports and have made the reports publicly available.

Visit Future Forests recommendations for more information.
